Honest answers
Is the wellbeing space a mental-health screening tool?▾
No. It never scores or flags a student on its own. There is one optional self-check; the result belongs to the student and reaches the counselling team only if they send it. Everything else is a check-in and a route to a human.
Can professors see a student’s check-ins?▾
No. No professor-facing role has any access path to wellbeing data in the database — the wall is structural, not a setting.
Does proctoring data ever reach counsellors?▾
Never. Exam violations, recordings and flags live entirely apart from wellbeing records, and nothing joins them.
What does proctoring actually do?▾
Camera-based face, phone and head-pose monitoring, plus a native lockdown desktop client for high-stakes exams. It logs and flags; apart from the auto-submit thresholds you set, humans decide.
Does it work with the interactive panels we already have?▾
Yes, in the sense that matters: Institra runs in a browser or in Institra Desktop on the PC that drives the panel, and the board takes the panel’s pen like any drawing app. Nothing is integrated with the panel’s own software and nothing needs to be. We run a trial class on your panel before you decide anything.
What does it cost?▾
Professors: free. Institute pilots, including wellbeing: free. Institute-wide pricing after a pilot is a conversation.
What if our campus doesn’t have counsellors?▾
Not today — requests go to your own counselling team, and the console fits a single visiting counsellor as readily as a full cell. A counsellor network for campuses that have none is what we’re building next. Until then, wellbeing stays off until you turn it on.
